I painted a centerpiece for the MHDA Christmas Party - theme- Old Fashioned Christmas. I wish I could take credit for the design but it is Brenda Stewart's. I also set the table with this for my Christmas family dinner. You can't really see the napkin rings, but they are little Victorian girls done in watercolor and varnished.

Christmas Table
I painted a centerpiece for the MHDA Christmas Party - theme- Old Fashioned Christmas. I wish I could take credit for the design but it is Brenda Stewart's. This month I tried my second attempt at plein air painting. Our group met in Crystal River looking out at Kings Bay. I am not bundled up because of cold; it was a gorgeous December morning. The gnats just love me and my first attempt at plein air ended in much scratching of arms, ankles and scalp. Here is a photo of the scene I attempted to paint in watercolor. Maybe I will post my painting once I am happy with it. I am anxious to get going on an oil rendition of it. There were lots of birds. Everywhere I turned there was something else to paint. A great morning!
