This month I tried my second attempt at plein air painting. Our group met in Crystal River looking out at Kings Bay. I am not bundled up because of cold; it was a gorgeous December morning. The gnats just love me and my first attempt at plein air ended in much scratching of arms, ankles and scalp. Here is a photo of the scene I attempted to paint in watercolor. Maybe I will post my painting once I am happy with it. I am anxious to get going on an oil rendition of it. There were lots of birds. Everywhere I turned there was something else to paint. A great morning!
